Privacy policy.
Your work stays yours. This policy explains how r0k collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit r0k.io or use an r0k product or service.
1. Who we are
r0k is an independent product studio. In this policy, “r0k,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to r0k as the operator of r0k.io and the products and services made available through it (the “Services”).
For questions or requests about this policy or your personal information, email privacy@r0k.io.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and contact information, such as your name and email address.
- Content and project information that you upload, create, edit, or otherwise provide through the Services.
- Integration information, including connection tokens, permissions, identifiers, and data required to operate third-party integrations you choose to enable.
- Usage and technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, referring pages, diagnostic events, and security logs.
- Communications you send to us, including support and privacy requests.
We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from third-party services that you choose to connect.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- authenticate users and preserve account and project settings;
- process the actions you request, including actions through connected services;
- respond to questions, support requests, and legal or privacy inquiries;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Services, your consent, or compliance with legal obligations, as appropriate.

4. Pinterest integration
If you choose to connect a Pinterest account, r0k uses Pinterest’s official API and OAuth authorization flow. We request only the permissions needed for the features you choose to use. We never ask for or collect your Pinterest password or session cookies.
Information accessed
Subject to the permissions you approve, r0k may access your Pinterest account identifier and profile information, boards, Pins, publishing status, and related information needed to carry out your requested workflow. We call the Pinterest API when this information is needed and do not retain Pinterest account, board, or Pin data received from the API beyond transient processing, except where Pinterest expressly permits retention, such as certain campaign analytics.
How it is used
Pinterest information is used only to provide the Pinterest features you request—for example, displaying your available boards, publishing a specific Pin you selected, or reporting the result of that action. We do not sell Pinterest information, use it to target advertising outside Pinterest, combine it with information from other users, scrape Pinterest, or use Pinterest materials to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
User control and deletion
Actions on Pinterest occur only at your direction. We may securely retain Pinterest OAuth access and refresh tokens for as long as your connection remains active so the requested integration can operate. You may revoke r0k’s access in your Pinterest settings at any time. You may also request that we disconnect your account and delete the Pinterest connection tokens and any Pinterest-derived information we are permitted to retain by emailing privacy@r0k.io. We will complete verified requests within the period required by applicable law and Pinterest’s policies.
Your use of Pinterest remains subject to Pinterest’s own Privacy Policy and applicable terms. r0k is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pinterest unless expressly stated otherwise.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:
- to hosting, storage, security, analytics, and other service providers that process it for us under appropriate obligations;
- to third-party services when you ask us to connect to or act through them;
- when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services; or
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember settings, secure the Services, and understand basic service performance. We do not currently use r0k.io to serve behaviorally targeted advertising. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and why it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and secure transmission. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email privacy@r0k.io. We may need to verify your identity before completing it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some regions may require a higher minimum age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required.
13. Contact
Questions, privacy requests, and Pinterest data-deletion requests can be sent to privacy@r0k.io.
